Enabling the next generation of forestry derived fuels and performance materials
TWL supports the U.S. biomass, bioenergy and biocarbon industries by working with producers of pine pellets and other woody feedstock derived materials to develop customized quality control procedures. Selected testing services offered include ash content, ash fusion (or deformation) temperature, moisture content, bulk density, lignin and resin characteristics, durability and heating value. TWL also performs elemental chemical analysis to determine Chlorine, Nitrogen and Sulfur levels and can additionally design and implement procedures for the identification of unwanted heavy metals (most commonly resulting from inappropriately blended feedstock.) TWL has additional expertise in the production and testing of black pellets for enhanced fuels, soil remediation and agricultural applications.
